The Barn was constructed in 1860 for John Greenwood. Standing within The Glen Estate, the barn is believed to have been utilised as a substantial coachhouse and stables for the estate and its owners. Redeveloping this historic local building represented an exciting opportunity for the Kitson House team. Our primary aim was to retain as many of the traditional architectural exterior features as possible, while creating a modern, stylish and efficient living environment inside. Owing to the substantial dimensions of the property, we have created two symmetrical, 4 bedroom homes within the existing structure, each with a single story extension to the gable ends providing two light and airy dining rooms.
